1. Controller
The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
2. Provision and Access to the App
Data Processed:
When using the App, we generally do not collect personal data such as your name, email address, or other contact details, as no user account is required. The App can be used without registration.
Server and Usage Data:
When downloading and opening the App, certain technical information (e.g., device type, operating system version, IP address, time of access) may be automatically collected by the Apple App Store and your device’s operating system. Typically, this data is not directly assigned to us, but rather to Apple or your network operator.
We only process the data necessary for providing the basic functions of the App (e.g., error reports to ensure stability and security). Such data is generally collected anonymously and cannot be traced back to you personally.
3. In-App Purchases and Payment Processing via Apple
In-app purchases and billing are conducted exclusively through the Apple App Store. Apple is responsible for collecting, processing, and storing your payment data. We only receive anonymous information from Apple confirming that a purchase has been successfully completed; personal payment information (e.g., credit card number, name, billing address) is not shared with us.
For more information about how Apple processes your data in the context of in-app purchases, please refer to Apple’s Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
4. Use of Analytics Tools
We use third-party analytics tools to gain a better understanding of how our app is used, to identify problems more quickly, and to continuously improve the user experience. These tools generally collect anonymized information about usage frequency, crashes, and other performance metrics. The data collected is processed without any personal identifiers and is used solely to optimize the app’s functions and performance.
PostHog (EU server) for Analytics:
We use PostHog to analyze user behavior within our app. Information from the onboarding process is also collected in anonymized form to enable statistical evaluations. No personal references are made; the data is used exclusively to improve our app and enhance your user experience.
Sentry (EU server) for Crash Monitoring:
We use Sentry to monitor crashes and errors in the app. Sentry collects anonymized information on crashes and system errors, helping us detect and fix technical issues. No personal data is processed here either; the sole purpose is to improve the stability and security of the application.
5. Data Sharing
As a general rule, we do not share personal data with third parties. We do not collect, store, or process your personal data beyond what is required for the purely technical provision of the App.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Since we do not collect, store, or process personal data in connection with the App, no deletion of data is required on our part. Any data collected by the operating system or by Apple is subject to the respective privacy policies of Apple or your operating system provider.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of our App. Since we do not store personal data, there is no specific risk of personal information disclosure by us.
8. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Pursuant to applicable data protection laws, particularly the GDPR, you have certain rights. Although we do not process personal data in connection with your use of the App, we would like to inform you of your rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Because we do not process any personal data in the App, it may not be possible for us to fulfill such requests as we do not have any data relating to you.
If you would like to exercise your rights, please contact us at: [email protected]
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
If you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, particularly in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or where the alleged infringement took place.
In Germany, for example, you can contact the competent state data protection authority. A list of supervisory authorities can be found here: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Service/Anschriften/anschriften_table.html
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time with effect for the future, particularly if the App’s functionalities are expanded or if there are changes in legal requirements. We will inform you of any significant changes in an appropriate manner.
